Climate Change Education
Tue Feb 13, 2018 3:13 PM
Adapting to, and mitigating the effects of climate change remains an issue facing all of us. Strong efforts are continually being made to undermine the science behind our understanding this issue. The Idaho legislature has stripped all mention of human-induced climate change from the state's education standards.
The Paleontological Research Institution and its Museum of the Earth has produced "The Teacher-Friendly Guide to Climate Change". It is available from their website as a free download. http://priweb.org/index.php/pubs-special/pubs-spec-5813-detail
I am also attaching a lesson I made to go with an online simulation called "Build Your Own Planet" that will allow your students to see the effects of changing concentrations of greenhouse gases as well as other factors that affect climate.
