Build Your Own Earth

Sat Feb 11, 2017 3:55 PM

I found a new resource in the January 2017 issue of NAGT's "In the Trenches" magazine. It uses a series of computer models that allow you to explore the different phenomena that affect our planet's climate. There are numerous scenarios that you can run, changing CO2 levels, axial tilt, and more.  Here is the URL: http://www.buildyourownearth.com/index.html

I also created a lesson using the website that I plan on trying this week with my Earth & Space Science students. I tried to attach it here, but could not. So here is a shared link to the file in my Google Drive: https://drive.google.com/file/d/0By5qLVgK_k7neFBvX3hhT1d3Vnc/view?usp=sharing

Thank you for sharing your lessons! I'm going to share with some secondary level teachers if that is alright.
