Incorporating STEM in Science
Mon Feb 12, 2018 11:44 PM
Hello, I am currently a student teacher for a group of 3rd graders. I was wondering, what are some ideas on how to implementing STEM in the Science lessons? I would like to have some sort of STEM activity when I teach Science lessons. Your responses will be much appreciated. Thank you!

Using literature is a great way to incorporate STEM into your lessons which then becomes a cross curriculum lesson designed intentionally. You can use tradebooks, check out what NSTA has to offer in their bookstore, especially Picture Perfect Science series. You can also find some resources at
One example I use for teaching environmental science is the book, Just a Dream by Chris Van Allsburg.
