I am a 5th grade science teacher at Highland Oaks Elementary School in Memphis, TN. I also serve as a member of our school's instructional leadership team, mentor new teachers, and conduct professional development at our school and for Shelby County Schools Instruction and Curriculum department. As a member of the Shelby County Schools STEM Cohort, I have the privilege of interacting with K-12 science/STEM teachers from around the district to discuss best practices and get ideas for improvement. My passion is knowing that by making a difference in the lives of our students that I am also making a difference in our world.
