When I taught middle school, I also liked using University of Utah's Aspire Simple Machines simulations, http://sunshine.chpc.utah.edu/Labs/Machines/, and for younger grades Bite Size Science at http://www.bbc.co.uk/bitesize/ks2/science/. Hope these help!

All of the ones listed (CK12, pHET, and Gizmos) are excellent simulation resources! I love that pHET simulations are being converted to HTML 5 so they don't have to be downloaded anymore!
