I definitely recommend checking it out and there is a high chance of finding activities that may be related to what you are interested in teaching in your classroom. They try to ...

Hi Brendan, Good luck with your first year as a teacher! NSTA has a lot of cool resources you could look into, such as their SciPacks. They have one dedicated to the Universe and one dedicated to the Solar System. Both seem very insightful to what you will be teaching and can hopefully help out a lot.

5 Great for Unit Planning
I really enjoyed this article because it was insightful and provided a good outline for planning a unit. The article focuses more on the aspect of pollution, but was helpful with some information on plants in general. I am planning for a school garden unit plan and still found this article helpful.

5 Very insightful
I really enjoyed this resource because it was very easy to find and provided me with so much information that I had not known before. I am planning a unit that involves creating a school garden and this article provide very helpful information for that. I now plan on having students make their own chia pet in class during an extended class period while we create our own garden! Helpful information on what to keep in mind and the kinds of questions students may have during this activity or similar activities. Also very good for relating to other cultures.
