Lauren Galindo

I am currently in the credential program at SDSU. I am on my path to becoming an elementary school teacher, which has been my dream since i was a child. I was born and raised in San Diego and really love everything this city has to offer. As a future teacher I am excited to teach in San Diego and being able to use everything it has to offer in my future classroom.

I love this idea! Another thing you could possible add is have students create a family tree with their parents so they can observe different pictures of past family members that may not have even had a chance to meet.

Any type of science activity that doesn't involve the teacher teaching a lesson is really engaging for students. Giving them an activity to participate in that isn't explicitly stated that they have to learn one specific concept form it lends itself to more understanding from children.
