I love using and adding literature and tradebooks to science! In my most resent student teaching experience, my students were able to use a lot of Gail Gibbons' nonfiction books. In September, we did a lot of research as class about the science of apples. During this, we used the book "Apples" by Gail Gibbons and also, "From Seed to Plant" by Gail Gibbons. This author has a great way of puttin...

That is an awesome idea! I love that you used props and movement in order for the students to continue their learning of this concept. This is an activity that you can bring up throughout the year as the seasons change. Bringing up the activity throughout the year and what they recall from it will keep reinforcing this knowledge and its significance. Great idea!

5 Great Chapter!
I liked this chapter! I believe what I liked most is that the activity and content is very much applicable and do able in all early childhood grade levels. As I was reading this resource, I thought of the differences in doing this activity with preschool students vs. third grade students. Although modifications would have to be made, it could absolutely be done well. Love this resource!

I really thought this SciPak was interesting and beneficial! Although lengthy, I found the information very helpful. I think that this content is very important to communicate with students through science curriculum and out of the best interest of their health.
