I would say making sure there is a variety of ways to teach them. They get bored of just watching,reading and taking notes. They need to do hands on activities and have them role play. They enjoy doing things that involve them being able to manipulate things as well as getting to move around.

I really enjoy having the students use the science notebooks. It is a great tool for them to write down their thoughts and answers to certain questions. Also, they can draw pictures in it to match the lesson or even put in foldables and other materials that they can use to reference back to.

I would say to be excited about the lesson as well as creating fun activities for them. Students will be more willing to do the work if they are interested in it. Find out what the students are most interested in and find activities that match their interest overall.
