I received my Bachelor of Arts in English Literature in 2006. After helping to raise my nephew, I realized how much I wanted to teach, something I had never considered before. I am working on my Masters in Education and hope to graduate and start teaching in spring or fall of 2014.

This looks like a very interesting book for children learning about the solar system. I have two boys I think might really enjoy the book. Thanks for sharing.

I am still in school and working toward getting my Master's in Education. For my master's class, we need to come up with a project based assignment. I wanted to do planting a vegetable garden on the school grounds with a fifth grade science class. Does anyone have any ideas about how a lesson like this would begin? Or any books / websites you could recommend? Thanks.

5 Space
This guide was very unique and informative. It gives information about the solar system and planets. It also provides teacher and student resources. Under the teacher resources it offers some lesson plans and additional resources that can help teachers who are looking for new ways to teach students about the solar system.

5 Misconceptions
While reading, I realized that I had a lot of misconceptions stemming from elementary school at least. At the same time, however, I also realized that everything made more sense. During winter we are closer to the sun but there is less sunlight, which makes it colder. I learned many things and had many misconceptions changed from this science object.
