Hello!! Currently I am working on doing a STEM 10 day block plan lesson for a graduate class I am taking. I stumbled along this awesome idea and decided I was going to add more components to it, like different race tracks/ramps and cars. Here is a link to the plan I am using. The project is called "ramp it up". Enjoy! http://www.bbc.co.uk/schools/scienceclips/ages/6_7/forces_movement.shtm...

Than you for sharing! I am definitely going to share this idea with my mentor teacher in my field placement. I think that this would be an awesome idea to try and get halloween into a science lesson the day before halloween. I believe that even my fifth graders would love this!

4 great article to use and read
I think that this is a great source of information for teachers to use! I really feel as though this inspired me to discover some new PD for myself. I found the article was very easy to read and understand. I could definitely use this with my students to explain how colds affect the human body.

4 Bringing science to another level
This is such a great read for teachers aspiring to add something extra to their science lessons. After reading this, I was inspired to start thinking outside the box as a teacher to provide my students with some integration of music to lessons. The connection that the article makes between birds and their different noises is, and can be something easily looked over. However I now feel that after reading the article I am more observant and open to integration of other forms of media to lessons; for example musical aspects added to science lessons. Overall a fun and inspiring read for those science teachers looking to amp up their lessons.
