A Light Review
Overall this sciguide is very useful in developing a lesson plan for all grade levels. The sciguide offers lesson plans for the middle school and high school levels with activities to help students understand the material through hands on methods. The lesson plans give a wide range of activity that helps teachers to create a lesson plan based on the student’s needs. This is one of the most valuable parts of the sciguide. Teachers have a lot of knowledge on the content they are teaching but sometimes have trouble in creating a lesson plan to teach their students. Being able to look at lesson plans that others have created give teachers a starting point to develop their own lessons.
The sciguide also offers sample work based on the lesson plans. The sample work gives questions and answers to each of the content. I think that this is one of the most valuable resources from the sciguide. A lot of times, teachers do not know what type of work to give out to the students as homework or work to review the content learned. The sample work allows teachers to pick and choose questions or work that they can give out and also use the sample work as a model.
Some of the activities that I was able to use in my class were the sample work from the light and electromagnetic radiation section. The worksheet provided a lot of questions that I used for the students learning check, bell work and exit passes. The questions covered a lot of the sections that I went through with my students.

Electric and Magnetic Forces Review
The electric and magnetic forces sciguide gives a brief overview of the electric unit and also gives a lot of resources that could be used in lesson plans. One of the most interesting parts of using a sciguide is that it provides resources that offer activities that could fit any type of lesson plan.
One of the most salient points that I got from the sciguide was that a lot of the inquiry labs which helped students to understand the content. Introduction to static electricity was an activity which used regular objects to help students answer questions they have about static electricity. I think that making the activities or content an inquiry type of lesson will help students to understand the content better.
While reading the sciguide, one of the most salient points that I got from reading through the sciguide is that there are a lot of information. I think that one of the things that I always try to do is to separate the information so that the students can learn the information in chunks. Some of the things that I would try are to try a jig saw activity with the students and also try to make the activity an inquiry activity.

Force and Motion Review
The sci guide for force and motion was very useful in coming up with different activities for my lesson plan. The sci guide gives an overview of all of the material for the content and also has a section for hands on activities that could be incorporated into any lesson plan. The activities that are linked to the sci guide are really simple but it gets the content across to the students. I think that using the activities for middle school students would be perfect, but for high school students, it might need to be adjusted or just use it as a demonstration.
One of the major down side to this sci guide is that it does go really heavily into force and motion where it uses equations. In my class, I use a lot equation and have my students solve a lot of word problems. I think if there was a portion of the sci guide that has a walkthrough for the students to complete word problems, it would have been better. On the other hand, I think that this sci guide was made for middle school students and you have to make some adjustments if you are teaching high school.
