Melissa Strohl

I am an elementary and special education major at Purdue University Calumet. I will be graduating in the spring of 2016. I enjoy working with children, spending time outdoors and with family and friends, and going to concerts. I am excited to be so close to graduating and having the opportunity to make a difference in children's lives.

I can relate to your concerns - I'll be student teaching next semester and graduating in the spring.  I had a host teacher from one of my practicums tell me to never, especially as a first year teacher, be afraid to ask for help.  She said that other teachers, especially those who are at your grade level, will typically be very willing to help you with ideas and ways of bettering yourself as a tea...
