Tue Nov 08, 2011 3:45 PM in Physics Principles and Problems Text
Greetings, I am a first year high school teacher in SC and was wondering if anyone has used the Physics Principles and Problems textbook from McGraw Hill. I am teaching a honors level course beginning in January and was interested to seek any feedback about the book, as well as any suggestions to additional resources. Thank you in advance.

I would agree with your outlook on too much tv. I also think it enables the children to stray from creativity and discovery, because they are always being shown what and how to do something. Perhaps they should allow the students to experiment on some simple methods and watch as the students are in awe of their discovery, which will last longer than the tv episode!

I am unsure where you are located, but if you are near NYC, the AMNH has a spectacular room designed to replicate the big bang! They also have a downloadable digital universeat the link below. Enjoy! http://www.haydenplanetarium.org/universe/download

4 Excellent refresher!
This SciPack was an excellent refresher regarding the basic principles of Force and Motion. This would be suitable for many teachers, except those teaching AP. The only lacking area was mathematical formulae.
