Interactivity
Interactivity:
Interactive features, such as dynamic feedback based
on user input is provided and add value to the site.
For a WebWatchers' evaluation, we define interactivity
as a different construct than inquiry learning addressed
in the NSES. We are evaluating the interactivity of
the page in the following area:
-
Content that provides
the manipulation of data sets and simulations
to see the relationship between variables (temperature-volume-pressure
on a gas, height-velocity-mass on a falling object).
Should you wish to evaluate
the web page regarding the level of inquiry learning
it provides, please refer to the
Inquiry rubric.
Participants rate the web page for the following criteria:
| Poor |
Fair |
Good |
|
i. Page does not contain any simulations
|
i. Page allows
minimum degree of interactivity- learner
is able to select answers/choices and
receive immediate feedback to their choice
via an online quiz.
|
i. Page allows
learner a high degree of interactivity
by manipulating variables in simulations,
concept models or data sets to understand
the relationships between the variables
and explore understanding of the featured
concept.
