Moving Toward NGSS: Online Short Courses for Implementing
the Next Generation Science Standards

As NGSS is released, NSTA is providing a series of online short courses to help
educators prepare for the implementation of the standards. Each of these courses
will involve a series of three web seminars along with asynchronous activities on
topics that are essential for successful teaching and learning.
Moving Toward NGSS: Using Formative Assessment to Link Instruction
and Learning
This short course will provide the rationale, tools, and strategies for informing
instruction and supporting science learning through formative assessment.

This short course will provide practical insights into teaching engineering in the
elementary or middle school classroom.
