NSTA Online Short Course

Intimidated by inertia? Frightened by forces? Mystified by Newton's Laws of Motion? You are not alone. The NSTA Online Short Course: Force and Motion is the perfect course for science teachers interested in learning more about the topic or for those who would like a refresher course. Two credits are available for a nominal fee.

Participants meet five times live online on a weeknight from 8:00 p.m. – 9:30 p.m. Eastern time, with a content expert and NSTA staff for questions and discussions and work offline with self-paced materials to boost their knowledge of the topic.

This introductory price includes access to the five live meetings and archives, the instructor’s PowerPoint presentations, a discussion listserv, and the required course materials: SciPack, SciGuide, 2 Journal Articles, and Force and Motion book.

  • At the end of the course, all participants will have the opportunity to pass a final assessment and print a certificate from NSTA demonstrating their understanding and proficiency of the content.

  • Educators are encouraged to seek approval in advance from their district for continuing education credits that may be ascribed for participating in this online short course.
