Symposia Archives

At a symposium, participants learn science and related classroom activities from content experts and pedagogical experts, respectively. In this image, participants learn about the concept of energy at a recent symposium sponsored by NASA. The NSTA Symposia are face-to-face professional development opportunities offered at NSTA Conferences on Science Education. Designed to enhance your knowledge of both science content and best teaching practices, the symposia are Standards-based programs that may last a half day or full day. Presenters include scientists, engineers, and educational specialists from NASA, NOAA, FDA, and NSF as well as renowned NSTA Press authors.
