Intro to the Atlas of Science Literacy: Presenter

Ted Willard
Ted Willard Ted Willard is a project director for Project 2061 and leads several Atlas workshops each year. He was responsible for the development of the growth-of-understanding maps published in Atlas of Science Literacy, Volume 2. He also participates in Project 2061’s work in assessment and curriculum analysis and is involved in several National Science Digital Library (NSDL) projects.


Before joining Project 2061, Ted taught regular, honors, and AP physics in Asheville, North Carolina. Prior to that, he also spent five years editing elementary and middle school science textbooks for the Globe Book Company of Prentice Hall and Harcourt Brace School Publishers. Ted has a B.S. in earth, atmospheric, and planetary science from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.
