Stars, Planets, Life, and the Universe

This symposium provided participants the opportunity to interact with NASA scientists and
education specialists. Teachers learned about scientific models, the electromagnetic spectrum,
and the search for habitable planets. Several activities were modeled about scale models,
creating models of the solar system, the galaxy, and the universe, using filters and exploring
the electromagnetic spectrum, solar system trading cards, and about the search for life in the
solar system. Participating teachers received educational materials from NASA.
