What is ExploraVision and How Can I Use It? |
This Web Seminar took place on September 15, 2010, from 6:30 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Eastern
Time. Presenting was Stacey Lamb, second grade teacher at Willow Grove Elementary
in San Diego, CA, and Brian Short from NSTA. The presenters gave an overview of the ExploraVision competition and some tips and guidelines for a successful beginning.
The presenters provided information about the basic elements of the ExploraVision
competition and what teachers can expect. Stacey Lamb, a veteran of the competition,
shared her personal experience with entering teams in the competition while addressing
the general guidelines for application and preparation. Miz Fischer from Toshiba
assisted on the chat, and the participants were able to get all their questions
answered.
Twenty-eight (28) participants were present at the live Web Seminar in addition
to the presenters and NSTA staff. Participating educators represented the states
of Arizona, Arkansas, California, Connecticut, Florida, Georgia, Iowa, Kansas, New
Jersey, New York, Ohio, Oklahoma, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, Texas and Virginia.
Seminar participants received a one year subscription to one of NSTA’s SciGuides
and a certificate of attendance was deposited into their My Transcript area in the
NSTA Learning Center for completing the evaluation form at the end of the program.

interactions, and a job well done!
