All web seminar participants use online tools that allow them to mark-up presenter's slides or share desktop applications in addition to engaging in chat with others online and answering poll questions

This web seminar took place on July 31, 2014, from 6:30 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. eastern standard time. The presenter was Flavio Mendez, Senior Director of the NSTA Learning Center. A panel of university professors included Dr. Christine Royce from Shippensburg University; Dr. Kathy Sparrow from Florida International University; and Wendy Ruchti from Idaho State University.

Mr. Mendez gave an overview of the NSTA Learning Center and described how it can be used as an e-Textbook at the college and university level. He shared examples of successful application in preservice teacher classrooms then invited the panelists to share their own experiences using the Learning Center with their students. The panelists also answered questions from the audience.
