Using the Learning Center as Your e-Textbook with Preservice
This web seminar took place on October 30, 2014, from 7:30 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. eastern
standard time. The presenter was Flavio Mendez,
Senior Director of the NSTA Learning Center. A panel of university professors included
Lisa Blank from University of Montana,
Eric Brunsell from University of Wisconsin - Oshkosh,
Ruth Burkett from University of Central Missouri and Carolyn
Mohr from Dominican University.
Mr. Mendez gave an overview of the NSTA Learning Center and described how it can
be used as an e-Textbook at the college and university level. He shared examples
of successful application in preservice teacher classrooms then invited the panelists
to share their own experiences using the Learning Center with their students. The
panelists also answered questions from the audience.
