Using the Learning Center as Your e-Textbook with Preservice Teachers
All web seminar participants use online tools that allow them to mark-up presenter's slides or share desktop applications in addition to engaging in chat with others online and answering poll questions

This web seminar took place on December 8, 2014, from 7:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. eastern standard time. The presenter was Flavio Mendez, Senior Director of the NSTA Learning Center and Meredith Houle Vaughn, Associate Professor of Science Education in the School of Teacher Education and Associate Director of the Center for Research in Mathematics and Science Education at San Diego State University.

Mr. Mendez gave an overview of the NSTA Learning Center and described how it can be used as an e-Textbook at the college and university level. He shared examples of successful application in preservice teacher classrooms then invited Dr. Houle Vaughn to share her own experiences using the Learning Center with their students.

A certificate of attendance was deposited into participants' My PD Record and Certificate area in the NSTA Learning Center for completing the evaluation form at the end of the program.
