Developing a Competitive Teacher Award Application

Marilyn Richardson
Greer Harvell Marilyn Richardson taught science at the middle school level for thirty-five years. After retiring from that position in 2009, she began work as a Visiting Instructor for Fitchburg State University. At the unniversity, she supervises students during their practicum assignments and advises students working on Action Research projects. Marilyn is past president of the Massachusetts Association of Science Teachers and past NSTA District I Director. She has served on several NSTA committees and is currently serving as Chair of the Awards and Recognition Committee. Marilyn is the recipient of many awards including the Presidential Award for Excellence in the Teaching of Science, the Paul DeHart Hurd Award for Exemplary Middle Level Science Teaching and Leadership and the NSTA Distinguished Teaching Award.
