Developing a Competitive Application for the Shell Science Lab Challenge

Ruth Ruud
Ruth Ruud Ruth has been an elementary and middle school science teacher, elementary principal, Grants and Special projects coordinator. Ruth is currently an adjunct instructor at Cleveland State University.


Ruth is the president of APAST( Association of Presidential Awardees in Science Teaching, Secretary for PSTA(Pennsylvania Science Teachers Association) and Treasurer for SEPA(Society of Elementary Presidential Awardees). She served twice as president of PSTA.


Ruth serves as the Lead Judge for the Shell Science Lab Challenge and NSTA Recommends. She has served as the Chair of NSTA Awards Committee and NSTA Investment Board. Ruth has served as a reviewer for NSF and NASA proposals and as a reviewer for the state and national Presidential Awards Committee.
