Creating and Sharing Collections in the NSTA Learning Center

This web seminar took place on May 21, 2015 from 6:30 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Eastern time. The presenter was Flavio Mendez, NSTA Learning Center Sr. Director.

The seminar began with an introduction of the NSTA Learning Center and its various tools to support the professional learning of science teachers. Mendez then focused the bulk of the web seminar on demonstrating how to use the Resource and Collections sections of the Library tool and giving time for participants to perform tasks such as: adding resources to their libraries, recommending resources to colleagues, creating collections, sharing those collections and making them public, and giving feedback along the way. The seminar closed with final questions from the participants.

  • "This interactive seminar was well planned and kept the learners involved."
  • "I did not know how to set up a collection nor did I know that I was able to upload to the Learning Center. I am glad I now know about these features and can share them with my colleagues."
  • "It was well planned and very simply to follow along! Thank you!"
  • "This was one of the best I have attended. The active nature of the seminar supported me as a learner and helped me gain more information about the Learning Center."

Thanks to the participants and the presenter for the learning opportunity, the interactions, and a job well done!
