Using Professional Learning Resources from NSTA to Teach
Science Pre-Service Teachers
This web seminar took place on December 10, 2015, from 6:30 p.m. to 7:45 p.m. Eastern time. The presenters were Flavio Mendez, Senior Director of the NSTA Learning Center and professors Kate Baird and Carolyn Mohr from Indiana University-Purdue University Columbus in Indiana and Southern Illinois University Carbondale in Illinois, respectively.
Mr. Mendez gave an overview of the NSTA Learning Center and described how it can be used as an online textbook at the college and university level. He shared examples of successful application in pre-service teacher classrooms then invited Baird and Mohr to share their own experiences and to answer questions from the audience.
