Living and Working in Space: Energy |
During this half-day symposium, a NASA scientist, and engineer, and two education
specialists guided participants through easy-to-understand explanations about solar
energy, spacecraft power systems, the Sun, solar panels, and habitats. The presenters
modeled activities that participants can use in their classrooms with their students.
They also showed several movies and computer simulations about the Sun and about
the most recent space shuttle mission to the International Space Station, STS-115.
The program was designed for teachers of grades 4-9.
