Lunar Exploration |
This symposium provided participants the opportunity to interact with NASA scientists and education
specialists. Teachers learned about impact craters, taking measurements, compounded error, determining
the size of craters on the Moon, history of lunar exploration, the use of robots for exploration, and
robotic control. Activities were modeled about taking measurements of simple objects, impact craters,
determining the size of lunar craters, and using robots to explore unknown locations. Participating
teachers received educational materials from NASA.
