The Ocean's Role in Weather and Climate
|
Two web seminars on the interconnections among air, sea, and land; the processes
by which energy is stored, released and transferred among them; and how our ability
to understand and monitor ocean conditions is key to predicting climate change took
place with NOAA scientists and education specialist. Dr. Thomas Delworth was the
presenter for this seminar; a scientist with NOAA he specializes climate variability.
Dr. Don Perovich was presenter for the second seminar in this series. His focus
was on the role of sea ice in the global climate system. These seminars are designed
for educators of 5-12 grade levels. Both seminars and the PowerPoint presentations
