Arctic and Antarctic Living Systems
|
Three Web Seminars on the International Polar Year (IPY) and Arctic and Antarctic living systems were held with presenters Dr. Brendan Kelly and Dr. Kathy Gorski from the National Science Foundation, and Dr. Craig Tweedie from University of Texas at El Paso. The seminars focused on land and marine adaptations to extreme conditions, species migration, and the role of humans in polar ecosystems and vetted online resources for educators to utilize in teaching the topic. These Web Seminars are designed for educators of grades 5-8. See our archive in the overview page and the PowerPoint presentations of these informative seminars.
