All web seminar participants use online tools that allow them to mark-up presenter's slides or share desktop applications in addition to engaging in chat with others online and answering poll questions

Two Web Seminars were presented by scientists and education specialists from the Food and Drug Administration, FDA, one by Bhakti Petigara Harp and the other by Alan Tart.

The seminars focused on food microbiology, food processing, food epidemiology, the food label, the 2005 Dietary Guidelines, and the public health impact of food safety. The presenters shared their science expertise, answered questions from the participants, and provided information regarding web sites that students can use in the classroom.
