GPS and Geodesy for Dummies: Do You Know Where You Are? |
Collaboration with National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAAA) and the
National Geodetic Survey team resulted in two web seminars designed for grade 5-12
educators on the Global Positioning System (GPS) and Geodesy. They featured scientists
and education specialists from NOAA. The seminars focused on virtual globes, Google
Earth, geocaching, and benchmark hunting. They gave informative and entertaining
information for educators and engaging tips to how to present this subject to students.
