Polar Climates, How Are they Changing?
|
These two seminars were part of several events celebrating International Polar Year.
The seminars focused on global climate change, the water-air cycle, ocean circulation,
energy transfer, and weather. The presenters, Dr. Doug Williams, Carolina Trustee
Professor of Marine and Geological Sciences and Allan Miller, an educator of 20
years in Alaska talked about the climate changes taking place in the Arctic and
Antarctic and how these changes are affecting the Polar Regions, International Polar
Year and opportunities for educators. These Web Seminars are designed for grade
5-8 educators. To view the seminars see the archives and PowerPoint presentations.
