The article describes how a teacher had a vision for an educational outdoor area, the steps she took to find funding, a brief discussion of how she got the community and other school teachers involved, and a description of the results - of something that has changed how science is taught both in the school and in the community. If you are a teacher at any level looking to make changes or add outdoor classrooms this article provides a good outline of how to go about it and presents an argument for the value of interdisciplinary objectives for the space.
