Harold Pratt, past NSTA president, discusses the framework for next generation of science standards and the time line for its completion. "The Framework provides an outline and a “frame” for the Standards’ science content: what is core to learning science and how those ideas are related to the practices needed to engage in scientific inquiry and engineering design, and cross-cutting concepts that bridge both the sciences and engineering."
