What does a staff arborist working at Tree Care Industries do? Starting at a young age he became interested in trees. Reading this article tells you what he does and it also provides advice to students who are interested in this aspect of nature. This is a good addition to article for career day in high school.

Career of the Month describes science in the workplace based on interviews with actual scientists. It is a great resource that teachers can share with their students. This month an arborist is interviewed. Arborists care for trees in nurseries by providing proper irrigation, protection against pests, mulching, and pruning. They also trim trees safely when they are overgrown or dying. Training suggestions are included for students wanting to become arborists.
