This article explains how students involved in a science club researched and modeled sunspots over time. It explains how students collaborated with themselves and professionals to better explain their findings. A science club founded in 2000 has been modeling sunspots even since. This project has it all modeling and ongoing citizen science. Students document their work and represent their findings using graphs and drawings. A fun activity to engage students in authentic ongoing research
