I am excited to try this activity with my students. Its a different way for them to model the DNA. I will definitely use this one. Thank you.

This lesson has so much going for it. Students extract DNA so they can see like what the actual substance looks. Then they designed models of DNA to help them understand the types of chemical bonds that hold DNA together. My favorite part of the lesson has to be the DNA model made of out students in the class. This is exactly the type of activity that my biology class needs in order to learn. The specific NGSS connections to the classroom activity are an added plus.
