This Web Seminar took place on May 15, 2012 from 6:30 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Eastern Time. The presenters were Gerry Wheeler, interim Executive Director of NSTA, and Stephen Pruitt, Vice President for Content, Research, and Development at Achieve, Inc. In this seminar, the presenters talked about the newly released draft of the Next Generation Science Standards (NGSS) and some of the changes in direction for science education standards set forth in this document.

This NGSS was incredible. I really appreciate how NSTA takes the nuts and bolts of the standards and presents the information in such a useful way. I came away with hope that I will be able to teach what is expected. Beforehand I was feeling really overwhelmed.
