This article written by Jessica Cellitti and Christopher Wright was a really good tool to use to encourage students to ask questions in class. The students need to be curious about what they are going to learn about or work on. I agree with a quote mentioned in this article which was that “children are born investigators” which is extremely true, and even after becoming an adult we want to investigate and learn about everything. It is really important to make sure we ask the correct questions to make them feel encouraged to investigate. Also it is important to give the students the correct amount of time since it will allow them to think and comprehend the question you ask them. The role of us teachers is to engage the students in learning the topic or subject required. I think that it is important to make the lesson active and fun because that will keep the students engaged in learning. This article will definitely help me in the future in order to know how to properly address my students.
