When teaching a science lesson in an elementary classroom, is there more value in integrating technology or doing hands-on lessons, or trying to do a combination of both?

That's a really good question. There will be times where you are not able to hands on- learning about things that can't be seen like atoms, molecules. As you get more experience you will be able to mesh the two. I do hands on every chance I get. Sometimes my required curriculum either doesn't support hands on or the one they suggest is really abstract. That is when I do some searching on NSTA or Ngss.nsta.org for resources.

Pamela,

When you have not been able to find additional resources for certain topics that do not meet both areas, what do you do if you do not mind me asking? I have struggled this yearf at certain points to come up with resources to beefit the students in the ways I would like to at times.
