I don't think age matters when it comes to teaching with toys. What a better way than to engage students with objects they are familiar with? I plan on reading Balanced Assessment: From Formative to Summative by Kay Burke. I went to one of her worskshops on balanced assessment recently. I also reading a couple of books on science inquiry in the classroom. I can't remember the exact title at the moment, and I don't have them right next to me.
