I am a Biology teacher at Boone County High School in Florence, Kentucky. This is my 20th year teaching at Boone County High School where I am also an alumni. I have always had a love for Science since I was a high school student in Biology class. I love teaching through phenomena based learning and integrating the NGSS into my curriculum.

Hi Dana, I think an excellent way to review food chains and food webs is to dissect owl pellets and then have students create food chains / webs of the things they find in their owl pellets.  They can review the vocabulary as they label these food chains/webs.

Hi Megan, I know Thomas More College has a Biology Field Station set up on the Ohio River. The  Field Station allows students  to do science and other STEM lessons.  They also tour the laboratories and other outdoor activities.
