Hi! My name is Sharon and I am a preservice teacher at UMBC. For my elementary school science methods class, I am completing a block plan about weathering and erosion and their impact on agriculture. What kinds of activities are helpful for teaching about weathering and erosion?

I love ASAP Science videos! They do a great job of making parodies to a number of different pop songs. Another Youtuber named Jack Hartmann makes great videos for a wide variety of subjects for elementary school students. 4 Great Collection of Lessons!
This collection has a multitude of lessons to choose from, all ranging from a wide variety of topics related to earth science (Green Schools, rocks and soils, water, insects, plants, and the sky). Each lesson plan is connected to standards and includes objectives, materials, instructions, grade level considerations, and an assessment. It also includes copies of handouts that go with the lessons. The lesson plans, however, could include differentiation techniques based on other things such as culture, gifted and talented, etc.

5 Great Inquiry Based Learning Activity!
Smith's inquiry based learning project is very useful for any science classroom. It engages students in the learning process and involves parents and the community as well. Each section is very detailed, describing each step of the process. This article is perfect for anyone elementary school teacher doing a lesson on soil erosion.
