I am the CEO and STEM Education Director for Qi Learning Research Group. My research interest is on learning theory and online instructional design. I am also a curriculum designer and program evaluator with a specialization in online and STEM education. With 11 years of teaching experience as a high school biotechnology instructor, and later as a department chair for Fortis College in Landover, Maryland, I've mentored instructors, managed programs, and designed curricula for various subjects such as biotechnology, pharmacy, medical technology, career readiness, and basic computing. My focus now is to find ways to bring STEM into elementary school classrooms. My research is about understanding the specific needs that preK-6th grade teachers have for when they teach STEM, and what I can do to help support them.
