Susan Farmer

Susan Farmer began her 30-year career in education as an elementary school teacher in Prince William County, VA. In addition to elementary school, Susan has taught gifted education, middle school life science, physical science, Cambridge and S.T.E.M. She also spent time on the Prince William County Instructional Support Team and continues to write science curriculum and offer professional development for teachers. Her passion for space science led her to many interesting opportunities including Space Camp, experiments on a Zero-Gravity flight and an opportunity to teach children about the connections between NASA and NASCAR in Jimmie Johnson’s pit! She also ran Afterschool Universe, an NASA enrichment program for at-risk middle schoolers. She holds endorsements in K-8 Education, Gifted Education and Administration and has been a presenter at numerous educational conferences.
