Plants are essential to our daily lives. Plants are used for food, medicine, clothing, etc. It is important for students to understand that we need plants in our lives. In this article, it discusses how students can understand how plants are essential to our lives. Rather than just learning about plants, allowing to have the students to have access to hands-on life science learning by having plant displays in the classroom. The plant displays follow an eight-month timeline that covers a project theme and the NGSS. While having these plant displays, it holds students accountable for maintaining the plant in the classroom. It also allows them to understand the learn about the plant’s: environment, families, organs, origins, growth, and reproduction. This article can be beneficial for teachers to provide students with the opportunity to experience plants up close. My only concern is not having available resources or plants to start the project. Otherwise, this is a great project to implement in the school!

Student Learning Approach
This article is beneficial for those who need more clarification on how to approach the NGSS to the younger ones in the classroom. In this article, the children are the practicing what they are learning. The children should be thinking, analyzing, and gathering data like a scientist. It also emphasizes having an inquiry-based approach rather than just teaching facts and skills. This allows the students to make real connections to what they are learning. Having a more student learning approach can be challenging especially when it comes to the younger one. I want to use this approach and see what my students can discover!

Interdependence of Life SciPack
The Interdependence of Life SciPack provides thorough information on interdependence and functions of our ecosystem. As a teacher, I want to teach more on this topic, and this was a great resource to refresh some of the information that I have forgotten and not known. It provides detailed information on how the relationships between organisms and species. It also breaks down the standards and learning outcomes for the students. The material was organized well and provided lots of engaging tools. I was able to learn more with the pictures and video clips. I like the questions that you have to answer to help if you have understood the content. I will be using this resource in my classroom!
