Ardis Herrold

I taught high school science for 38 years and was director of our district planetarium for 27 years. My passions are the Earth and space sciences. I have a degree in geology and have been a lifelong amateur astronomer. I am a past president of both the Michigan and National Earth Science Teachers Association. In 2017 I began a new job as the Education Specialist for the Large Synoptic Survey Telescope. I am now working at developing investigations that are designed for NGSS instruction and will allow students to analyze data from the telescope, through the use of online web applications.
